3  Высоко по небу журавли летят… (High in the sky cranes are flying…)

4  Топи да туманы… (Swamps and mists…)

5   Леший с русалками хороводы водит… (Wood-goblin and nymphs play round dances…)

6  Цветы дивные на лугах горят; дунет ветер– алым пламенем полыхнут… (The marvelous flowers are flashing in the meadow, winds will blow – they will blaze out with scarlet flame…)

7  Пастушки там песни старые играют, да на новый лад… (There are shepherds playing old songs, but in a new way…)

8 Города волшебные в озерах отражаются– кинешь камень и нету города… (The bewitching towns are reflected in the lakes, one can throw a stone – town will disappear…)

9 Девки красные по ягоды ходят далёко,далёко… (Well-knit girls go to gather berries a long-long way…)

Unesco named this work “the best musical creation of 1970-71.”
